A BMW driver from a village near Thornbury who drove under the influence of cocaine has been banned from the road.
Matt Eastlake, aged 22, of Gloucester Road, Alveston, was caught by police in Filton while driving a BMW on December 12 last year.
Eastlake had 38 micrograms of cocaine per litre of blood. The legal limit is 10.
He also tested over the legal limit for benzoylecgonine, a metabolite of cocaine.
In addition, Eastlake had in his possession 0.1g of cocaine and 1.1g of cannabis.
The case was heard at Bristol Magistrates' on October 3.
He was fined £320 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £128 plus £85 in costs - a total of £533.
He was banned from driving for a year.
