A DRIVER faces a huge pay-out for breaking a low speed limit.
Daniel Rooney, aged 69, of Rectory Close, Yate, was caught at 43mph in a 30mph zone.
He was caught in a Citroen on the B4058 Bristol Road at Cromhall on December 19 last year.
Rooney pleaded guilty under the Single Justice Procedure and was sentenced at North Somerset Magistrates Court on Tuesday, October 3.
He must pay a total of £451 which is made up of a £261 fine, a £95 surcharge and £95 costs.
In addition, four penalty points were imposed.
