THERE has been a major disruption to the area's train service this morning.
All railway lines between Gloucester and Bristol Parkway have been disrupted due to a reported safety inspection.
This includes Cam and Dursley and Yate railway stations.
The disruption is expected until the end of the day with services currently blocked.
In a post on social media, Great Western Railway said: “Due to a safety inspection of the track at Yate, the line towards Bristol Parkway is blocked.
“Train services running through this station may be delayed or diverted.
“Disruption is expected until 11.30am.”
Meanwhile, National Rail said in a statement: “Disruption between Gloucester and Bristol Parkway expected until 5pm.
“Cam and Dursley - Customer advice. You may use your ticket on Great Western Railway services via any reasonable route.
“CrossCountry is conveying passengers via any reasonable route.
“Alternative routes are available via Swindon on London Paddington services, or via Newport, where ticket acceptance is in place with CrossCountry.”
