A DRIVER from a village near Yate has been banned from the roads and ordered to pay a hefty fine after failing to give a sample to police.
Andrew Sanders, aged 57, of Station Road, Iron Acton, has been disqualified from driving after pleading guilty to failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
The incident took place at Patchway Police Centre on July 9.
The case was heard at Bristol Magistrates Court on October 11.
Sanders was fined £540 and ordered to pay a £216 surcharge plus £185 in costs - a total of £941.
He was banned for 12 months.
