A MAN from Thornbury has been sentenced for stalking a woman.
Patrick Smyth, aged 44, of Hamble Close, Thornbury, pleaded not guilty to stalking a named woman for eight months between August 1, 2022 and November 25, 2022.
The case was heard at Bristol Magistrates Court on October 11, where he was found guilty.
He received a custodial period of 12 weeks, suspended for 12 months.
An existing restraining order against Smyth was varied and now expires on August 8, 2029.
Smyth was also ordered to pay a surcharge of £154 plus £400 in costs - a total of £554.
