AN aspiring reporter from a school in South Gloucestershire has written about Remembrance as as part of a new young reporter scheme.
Jess Donovan from Sir Bernard Lovell Academy writes about Remembrance in Hanham.
The loved ones of soldiers who have passed in battle is why we sell poppies with the Royal British Legion (RBL).
The dictionary definition of remembrance is 1. A memory or recollection 2.A action of remembering the dead 3.A action of remembering something.
Every year the cadet forces all over the world help poppy selling to raise money for every veteran and mourning family across the world.
The Hanham detachment have worked really hard to raise as much money as we can for those fighting the loss of a loved one. All the money raised goes to a good cause.
Sunday, November 12 is Remembrance Sunday in England and people have different ways of celebrating this day of memory.
But every year different detachments do difference services for example the Hanham detachment does a church service in Bitton every year.
Remembrance is a thanks to those lives lost for all our freedom.
