A MAN from a village near Yate has been sentenced after he admitted sending an offensive message earlier this year. 

Luke Lovedale, aged 31, of The Sidings, Siston, South Gloucestershire, pleaded guilty to sending an offensive message on January 24 this year. 

The charge was sending a message that was 'offensive, indecent, obscene or menacing'.

He was ordered to pay £200 in compensation and £575 in costs - a total of £775 - at Bristol Magistrates on November 6

Lovedale was also ordered to complete 300 hours of unpaid work and 20 days of rehabilitation activity.
