A SHOP in Dursley has recently reopened its doors after closing for a revamp.

Dursley Garden Machinery, located on Uley Road, closed for seven days last week.

The family-run business opened yesterday, Monday, November 20 with a new showroom.

It now specialises in cordless powered machinery and robotic mowers moving away from fossil fuels.

The business says the move will allow customers to reduce their carbon footprint.

A spokesperson said: “We are excited to welcome customers new and old into our new look showroom and introduce you all to the exciting future of cordless garden machinery and the end of the fossil fuel era.

“We have expanded our range of high quality and powerful cordless battery powered machinery from Kress and EGO and we have reopened as solely stocking battery powered machinery and robotic mowers from EGO, Kress, Ambrogio, Stihl and Cobra.

“We have been advocates of cordless machinery for several years, and with the latest developments in battery technology, feel now is the right time to make the switch.

“The added benefit of reducing the end user’s carbon footprint by reducing the amount of petrol used, further enhances the decision.

“With the range of machinery that will be on offer, all uses will be covered from domestic, up to commercial.

“Despite the changes in the showroom, the servicing workshop is continuing to work as it has done.

“We will still be able to service and repair the same brands of petrol machinery as we have previously, as well as offering robotic mower servicing and maintaining the cordless machines.”
