A MAN from Yate has been jailed after being caught driving while banned and without insurance.
Marin Bujac, aged 29, was caught without a driving licence or insurance in Randolph Avenue in Yate on August 7 this year.
Bujac, of Long Croft, Yate, admitted the two driving offences during a hearing at Bristol Magistrates Court on November 14.
He was banned from driving for five years.
He was given a total custodial period of 20 weeks with an imprisonment period of 16 weeks.
The court register states: “The offence(s) are so serious that only a custodial sentence can be justified. You have a list of similar offences and have offended in breach of a suspended sentence order. You have shown a total disregard of court orders.”
