A FAMILY from the area have once again put up a brilliant Christmas display in aid of charity.

Ricky and Chrissie Fenning have transformed their Winterbourne home into a winter wonderland, complete with thousands of multicoloured lights and other festive delights.

This year’s display has more than 50,000 lights, which they say is one of the biggest in Bristol.

The pair are hoping to raise £2,500 for the Bristol Children's Hospital Charity and are in their third year raising money for the charity.

They previously said they chose the charity as their children and close friends have required visits and surgeries over the years.

This year’s display includes a magical washing well which emits a colour changing mist as well as a 3ft water fountain.

It also includes a life sized unicorn, a fully lit Gromit and Shaun the sheep figure.

The family have also converted their garden bush into an igloo and created a miniature Santa's workshop with a sleigh and his reindeer on the roof.

You can visit the display at 102 Down Road in Winterbourne.

Ricky previously said: “Seeing so many people enjoy what was really a very small display then has just led us to where we are now.

“It’s just so amazing seeing so many people enjoying our display.

“Seeing people's faces as they walk in makes it all worth it.

“The fact that it also helps our local children’s hospital makes it even more rewarding.”

Lights will be on daily between 4pm and 9pm until Monday, January 1.

Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, festive music will play from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. .
