A circus show had to be abandoned after an acrobat was hurt in a fall while performing a stunt.

The incident happened when one of the performers at the Hippodrome in Great Yarmouth fell off an aerial spinning wheel before colliding with metal scaffolding and hitting the ground.

Privacy screens were put up as two doctors from the audience came to help.

Those in attendance report that the show had to be cancelled as the acrobat was treated.
