A MAN has been charged with wounding with intent, possessing a sharp article/ knife in public and intentional strangulation.

Corey McClean, aged 30, of Two Mile Hill Road, St George, Bristol, appeared at Bristol Magistrates Court for a hearing about these charges on Friday, December 15.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary has confirmed these charges relate to an incident that happened in Downend Road, Kingswood on Sunday, December 3. 

After the incident two men, both in their 40s, were taken to hospital to be treated for stab wounds and have since been discharged to continue with their recovery.

McClean was remanded in custody following the court hearing on Friday.

His next hearing will be at Bristol Crown Court on Monday, January 15.
