POLICE acted after a dog appeared to have been left overnight in a van in the Cam area.
Stroud police posted about the incident on social media on Sunday saying the animal had been left without water.
Officers posted: "PCSO Mike Trebble attended an incident in the Cam area of a report of a dog left all night unattended in a van.
"No water provided for the dog. Owner turned up and said they had been away on a fishing trip.
"Owner was given firm advice."
