A MAN from a village near Thornbury has been jailed after admitting assaulting a police officer and another man.
Asa Manders, aged 47, of Bristol Road, Cromhall, pleaded guilty to two counts of assault at Bristol Magistrates Court on Monday, December 11.
Manders assaulted the two men during an incident in Broadmead on Sunday, December 10.
Manders was jailed for eight weeks with a custodial period of ten weeks.
He was also ordered to pay £154 in compensation.
