A 16-YEAR-OLD boy from Yate has been sentenced for a string of offences including assaulting a man in a Wetherspoons and possessing cannabis.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to five charges at Bristol Magistrates Court on Wednesday, December 20.
The boy admitted assaulting the same person on two separate occasions, on June 3, 2023, at East Walk, Yate Shopping Centre, and on July 22, 2023, at Wetherspoons pub Thorns Farm.
He also admitted possessing a quantity of cannabis on June 10, 2023 at Station Road, Yate.
In addition, he admitted causing £4,140 worth of damage to a vehicle parked in Station Road on the same day as well as damaging a front door.
He was ordered to attend youth offender panel meetings for nine months and pay £300 in compensation.
