POLICE have released an update after a man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Gloucester last week. 

Officers were called to a property on Hatherley Road, shortly before 11pm yesterday after a man was wounded during an incident. 

The man was taken to Southmead Hospital for treatment to non-life threatening wounds before being transferred to Bristol Royal Infirmary.

Meanwhile, a 38-year-old man from Gloucester who was previously arrested has been released on bail. 

A police spokesperson said: “The suspect has been released on bail and is due to return in early March. 

“The victim remains in hospital and is in a stable condition.”
