RACERS will once again take part in the annual pancake race in the centre of Dursley this year.
The race, which sees competitors run around Parsonage Street while flipping pancakes, will take place on Tuesday, February 13 at 12pm.
Last year, some competitors dressed up as astronauts, bananas, and chickens for the race.
Anyone taking part in the race should bring their own pan and pancake.
Pancakes must be tossed at least six times - once at the start of the race, twice on the way up, once at the halfway mark and twice on the way back.
Racers should be over the age of five and any children should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Dursley mayor Alex Stennett will be judging the competition.
A trophy donated by Dursley Business Inclusive, in memory of local volunteer Eileen Nichols, will be awarded for the Best Fancy Dress Costume.
Individuals do not need to book in advance and can turn up on the day.
The event is traditionally held on Shrove Tuesday, which this year falls around a week earlier than last year.
