ONE OF 'the hottest names' in comedy will appear in Yate. 

Jools Holland, McFly, Sophie Ellis-Bextor & Scouting for Girls are amongst the music names already announced for the Good Times on the Pitch festival which will return to Yate Town Football Club in May. 

The team have just revealed their comedy headliner as Liverpudlian star Paul Smith.

James Murden, one of the event organisers, said: “Paul is one of the hottest names in comedy right now, his viral videos have racked up tens of millions of views and we can’t wait to welcome him to Yate.

“In addition to this epic comedy night, the week also includes headline music concerts, the biggest Yate has ever seen!”

Paul headlines a stellar line-up including Ed Byrne, Zoe Lyons and Troy Hawke plus the show will be held together by local compere Cerys Nelmes.

Tom Campbell, event producer said: “We’re going big on production levels and audience members can look forward to a large festival stage complete with video wall, epic light show and premium sound system.”

Ticket holders can bring along camping chairs or picnic blankets are there is a large range of food and drink available to purchase at the shows.
