A MOTHER from the Wellington area who failed to send her two children to school regularly has been hit with a court bill of over £2,000.
The two cases against the woman were proved in her absence at Taunton Magistrates' Court last week.
The defendant, who cannot be named to as to protect her children's identity, was fined £660 and ordered to pay a £264 victim surcharge and £120 towards prosecution costs on each count.
Her total court bill came to £2,088, which the court ordered to be paid by Tuesday, April 23.
