THE LIST of roads in Dursley and the wider area planned to be resurfaced over the next year have been released.
Gloucestershire County Council is aiming to improve more than 100 miles of highways with its resurfacing and surface dressing programme for the upcoming financial year.
More than 150 streets and roads feature in the list of scheduled to be repaired from April 1, 2024 onwards.
Highways teams say the schedule can be subject to change – at times the delivery sequence may need to be adjusted and schemes may be moved around within the annual programme.
There are also times when unknown issues come to light during the design process that mean we are unable to deliver some schemes within the proposed financial year.
During the spring and summer the highways teams will focus on larger roads, using hot rolled asphalt – the most durable main road material as this is weather dependent.
Smaller roads, where highways workers can use other materials, tend to be resurfaced in the autumn and winter.
