A DRIVER from Yate has been sentenced after he was caught more than four times the cocaine limit. 

Luke Parsons, aged 34, of Sutherland Avenue, Yate, was stopped by police near his address on July 27 last year. 

According to the court register, he had 223 micrograms of cocaine derivative benzoylecgonine in his blood - the legal limit is 50.

He was fined £300 with a £120 surcharge plus £80 in costs - a total of £500 - at Bristol Magistrates Court on March 25 and banned for 14 months.
