AN EIGHTY-FOUR-YEAR-OLD man has appeared in court accused of assault.
Geofrey Hughes, of North Road, St Helens, denied a charge of assault causing actual bodily harm (ABH) before magistrates on Friday, April 19.
Hughes is accused of assaulting a male on February 24, 2023.

The 84-year-old pleaded not guilty at Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates Court.
Hughes was granted unconditional bail and will next appear at the court for trial on August 19, this year.
