THREE members of Dursley Male Voice Choir joined more than 500 choristers to sing at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday April 27 as part of the Festival of Welsh Male Voices.
The three members, Simon Bilous, Roland Halford and Laurence Bryant made the connection with the event via their membership of Cardiff based Comrades Choir and touring with the British Lions Rugby Male Choir in 2013 and 2017.
The programme for the event featured many new songs for the three men including six items sung in Welsh, so learning and practising has been a challenge with rehearsals only happening every 6 months or so over the last few years (the concert having been postponed from 2021 due to Covid).
Luckily, a connection with Caldicot Male Voice Choir came to the rescue, as that choir went to sing en masse at the event.
The Dursley singers have been welcomed down to join a number of practices with them over the last few months.
