A MAN from the area has been sentenced after he was caught with weapons during an incident at Yate Shopping Centre.
Colt Valentine, aged 31, of Dowsell Way, Yate, pleaded guilty to possessing a 6cm lock knife and a broken glass bottle of wine on February 6.
He also admitted affray and assaulting a female police officer on the same day.
Valentine was jailed for nine months following a hearing at Bristol Crown Court on Friday, April 19.
