POLICE are appealing for information after a trailer containing a drilling rig was stolen from a farm in South Gloucestershire.

Officers have described the items stolen as “high value” with the incident taking place at an address in the Easter Compton area at around 6.50am on Monday, April 8.

Avon and Somerset say during the incident a suspicious man was spotted on CCTV driving a white Ford truck into the farm.

A police spokesperson said: “We’re appealing for witnesses and information following a high value theft in South Gloucestershire.

“A man wearing a hi-vis jacket was seen on CCTV driving a white Ford flatbed truck into the farm’s storage area and then leaving in the direction of Blackhorse Hill with the Ifor Williams trailer twin axel 10ft trailer.

“Anyone with information about the theft is asked to phone 101 and provide the call handler with the reference 5224092192.”
