A MAN from Yate has been fined and banned from the roads after he was caught drink driving.
Jack Bidwell, aged 22, of Melrose Avenue, Yate, was caught over the alcohol limit while driving in Siston Lane, Siston on October 28, 2023.
He had consumed 45 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - the limit is 35.
Bidwell pleaded guilty at Bristol Magistrates' Court on May 28 where he was fined £346 and ordered to pay £85 in costs plus a £138 surcharge - a total of £569.
He was banned from driving for 14 months.
