A NEW cafe run by two sisters in the Thornbury area has recently opened its doors.
Carly and Jodi Rudrum have transformed the old ACF office building in Greenhill Parade, Alveston into a new eatery.
The cafe - known as the Square Bakehouse & Coffee Shop - serves freshly brewed coffee and tea, an array of homemade cakes, sausage rolls plus quiche and salad
The team says everything including sandwiches, paninis and milkshakes are made to order and the menu is set to grow.
In a joint statement, Carly and Jodi said: “We’ve both lived in Alveston for over 12 years and love the community spirit here, so we wanted to create a space at the heart of the village for everyone to enjoy.
“We believe that coffee and delicious, fresh-baked food can bring people together, creating a sense of community and comfort.
“We’ve been absolutely blown away by the support we’ve received so far and want to thank everyone for coming to see us and for being so kind.”
They added: “As a family-owned business, we take great pride in delivering great service and attention to detail.
“Bread and croissants are delivered daily from Hobbs House.
“We make absolutely everything else on site.
“Our tasty bakes are made with quality ingredients, and we ensure that everything is made fresh, just for you.”
