THE ORGANISER of an event in Yate for a 'worthy cause' would like to thank those who attended and donated money.
Organised and managed by library assistant Rachel Axford, Yate mayor Ben Nutland joined approximately 100 people who all enjoyed delicious cake and the beautiful voices of the Chipping Sodbury Community Choir, also known as The Loud Choir, led by Choir Master Liz Martin.
Rachel says she would like to thank everyone who contributed towards making the Macmillan coffee morning such a successful event, giving special thanks to her amazing helpers.
She said she was pleased to report that there was a fantastic atmosphere and a real ‘buzz’ in and around the library during the event.
Rachel was also delighted to be able to report that the coffee morning raised £511 which she described as 'simply incredible.'
Mayor Ben Nutland said “I was delighted to attend the coffee morning.
"It was fantastic to see so many people attending and contributing to such a worthy cause.”
