A TEENAGE motorcyclist has tragically died in a crash in the Yate area, police say. 

The 17-year-old boy was pronounced deceased at the scene in Westerleigh Road, south of Westerleigh at 7.50pm yesterday, Saturday, August 2. 

Avon and Somerset Police say the teen was driving a Husqvarna motorcycle. 

Officers currently believe no other vehicles were involved in the collision. 

A police spokesperson said: “A specially-trained officer will support the boy’s family, and our thoughts are with them at this time.

“It is not currently believed any other vehicles were involved, but we are appealing for witnesses to assist our understanding of the incident.

“Anyone who saw what happened, or has dash cam showing a Husqvarna motorcycle being ridden in the area shortly before, please contact us.”
