A WELL-LOVED florist is closing - leaving dozens of customers heartbroken.
Lucy Butler Flowers in Broad Street, Chipping Sodbury has announced it is closing on October 24.
A spokesperson for the business said on social media that staff were 'devastated' and that the closure announcement on Monday was being made with a 'very heavy heart'.
"Originally, we were so excited to have been passing the business onto a fantastic florist who would have carried the LBF name onwards and upwards," they said.
"Sadly, this couldn't progress and our retail unit is now being sold.
"Personally, I needed to take this opportunity to move forward onto new ventures, and this means the closure of my much loved business.
"We are in full swing until October 24, so please do use us and help us have a fab last month.
"For anyone who has been waiting for quotes and not yet received theirs, this has been the reason for the delay. It has been a difficult time.
"For anyone who has booked their wedding or subscriptions with Lucy Butler Flowers, these will be uninterrupted.
"Thank you to all our customers who have and do support us.
"Please come and say goodbye over the next few months."
The announcement was met with sadness from dozens of customers, some of whom had bought wedding flowers from the shop.
