A 61-YEAR-OLD man has appeared in court charged with using threatening behaviour in Alveston.

Mark Hopkins, of Down Road, Alveston is charged under the Public Order Act 1986.

He is alleged to have used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards another man on March 17 this year with intent to cause fear of immediate unlawful violence or to provoke violence.

Hopkins appeared at Bristol Magistrates Court on October 7.

The cased was adjoined until November 3 at the same court, when Hopkins is due to enter a plea.
