A 65-YEAR-OLD man from Yate has appeared in court charged with a series of historic indecent assaults on a girl aged under 14.
Peter Acton, who denies all the charges, appeared at Bristol Crown Court on Tuesday, November 4.
Acton, of Thorns Farm, Yate, is charged with four counts of indecent assault on a girl under the age of 14 and one charge of inciting a girl under 16 to commit an act of gross indecency with himself.
The offences are alleged to have taken place in the 1990s and early 2000s.
Acton entered not guilty pleas to all charges on June 7 last year.
At the latest hearing he was remanded on conditional bail pending a trial scheduled to begin on December 1 at Bristol Crown Court.
As part of his bail conditions he must not contact several named individuals or have any unsupervised contact with anyone under 18 except as unavoidable in daily life.
