Multiple road closures announced by Gloucestershire Council

Gloucestershire County Council has announced a series of temporary road closures set to take place across the region.

These closures are necessary for maintenance and various utility upgrades.

The following roads will be affected:

Bradley Street, Wotton-under-Edge, will be closed from its junction with Bear Street to outside Number 4, for infrastructure maintenance.

The closure will be in effect on February 18 and 19 or until the works have been completed.

Coombe Road, Wotton-under-Edge, will also see repairs, specifically for sinkholes, prompting a closure from February 16 to February 18.

Field Lane, Cam, will be closed between February 16 and February 18 for works by Severn Trent Water.

Oldminster Road, Berkeley, will be closed from February 16 to February 18 for new water connection works or until the work is completed.

In Ham & Stone, C327 Ham to Pedington Elm will be closed for water mains renewal works from February 16 until May 24.

The closure starts 60 metres north of the entrance to Park Lodge to outside Tannhouse Farm.

In South Gloucestershire, parking suspensions will affect Flaxpits Lane, Winterbourne, from March 2 for anticipated fibre works expected to last three days.

Overhead structure works will mean a temporary closure of Tockington Lane, Almondsbury, on March 3 from 9.30am to 3.30pm.

Public footpath LBA/2, Badminton, will be off-limits to foot passengers from March 2, expected to last 11 weeks, due to course and event stand construction and deconstruction works.

Beach Hill, Bitton, will be closed from March 5 for anticipated three-day pole replacement works.

Coxgrove Hill, Pucklechurch, will be closed on March 6 from 9.30am to 3.30pm for fibre overhead cabling works.

Latteridge Lane and Lark's Lane, Iron Acton, had closures starting February 9 and lasting for three days for telecom cabling works.

A432 Badminton Road, Yate, has closures for evening and overnight work between February 9 and 12 weeks due to CRSTS active travel works.

Beesmoor Road and Henfield Road, Coalpit Heath, have also experienced closures from February 9 for similar CRSTS active travel works.

Greenditch Street, Pilning, will be closed on March 6 for fire hydrant frame and cover replacement works, expected to last a day.

Hopps Road, Kingswood, will also be fully closed on March 3 from 10am to 3pm for a crane delivering a modular extension to a property.

In all these cases, signed alternative routes will be in place, and access will be maintained for pedestrians and emergency services except where stated otherwise.

Motorists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and be aware of the potential for delays in these areas.
