A POPULAR music and community festival is preparing to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
Yate Rocks! in the Park will return to Kingsgate Park on Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28, marking two decades since the event began as the Kingsgate Music Festival.
Saturday's line-up will include Take That tribute band Let it Shine, 4 Imaginary Boys, The Layers, and The Brinbeck Blues Collective.
The day will also feature performances from local dance groups, alongside food and drink stalls, a climbing wall and a range of activities for all ages.
Yate Town Council will host a free arts and crafts tent.
Sunday will begin with Praise in the Park, organised by local churches, followed by the Great Choir Showcase from 12.15pm.
The showcase will include performances from Raysfield and Woodlands Junior School Choir, Frampton Cotterell Male Voice Choir, Bromley Heath Community Choir, and others.
Additional choirs on the bill include the Ukrainian Choir, Go Vocal, Inunity Choir, Bristol Show Choir, and Rock Choir.
Councillor John Ford, deputy mayor of Yate and chair of the events sub-committee, said: "Yate Town Council is excited to announce the 20th anniversary of Yate Rocks! in the Park.
"To celebrate this anniversary, we have a fantastic line up including the excellent Let it Shine plus new and old favourite bands, singers and dance performers.
"We hope you will join us for a fabulous weekend of entertainment in the park."
