A WOMAN has been banned from the roads and hit with a large court bill after being caught driving without insurance.
Rebecca Taylor was stopped in Cooper Road, Thornbury on August 1 last year while driving a vehicle without a valid insurance policy.
Taylor, aged 38, of Hay Fields, Thornbury, was sentenced at Avon and Somerset Magistrates Court on May 6.
She was fined £660 and ordered to pay a victim services surcharge of £264, along with additional court costs of £120.
The total bill of £1,044 was due to be paid by June 3.
In addition, Taylor was banned from driving for six-months due to repeat offending, with her driving licence also being endorsed with eight penalty points.
