A Yate man has been sentenced for stalking a 15-year-old girl.
Jordon Foyle, aged 25, of Fletcher Road, Yate, admitted a charge of stalking which involved sustained harassment.
Foyle pursued the girl, who cannot be named, for more than a year between September 8, 2024 and October 1, 2025.
The details of the case were heard at Bristol Magistrates Court on June 16.
Magistrates heard how Foyle's conduct included repeated unwanted social media contact using multiple accounts, impersonating others online to monitor the victim, sending sexualised and intrusive messages, making graphic threats of violence, following her in person, loitering near her home and eventually hand-delivering a letter to her address.
The court was told the victim experienced 'alarm and distress' as a result of Foyle’s actions.
A community order lasting until June 15, 2027 was imposed which includes a 12-month mental health treatment requirement.
Foyle must also complete up to 20 rehabilitation activity days as instructed by his supervising officer.
The court imposed a restraining order barring any contact with the victim either directly or indirectly for five years until June 15, 2031.
He was also fined £120 and must pay £85 in prosecution costs plus a £114 victim surcharge - a total of £319.
