A CARE home is set to close after 50 years of service with all residents facing relocation.
Yercombe Lodge in Stinchcombe, near Dursley, will shut its doors in the coming months due to financial difficulties, ending decades of support for older people and those with disabilities across Gloucestershire.
The closure will affect all its services, including residential, respite, and day care provision.
Trustees of the charity said: "With sadness we are writing to inform you that Yercombe Lodge will be shutting down its activities in providing residential, respite, day care and day centre services.
"We have been unique in our 50-year provision of family-style services in beautiful surroundings, but unfortunately, our financial situation means we must shut down within the next three months."
The trustees said they had explored multiple alternatives over recent years but had been unable to secure a viable solution.

They said: "We will be working closely with our residents, other clients and their families to find new homes and services to move to and will try to support all our service users and staff at this difficult time.
"We would like to thank our dedicated staff, past and present, and all the many organisations and individuals who have supported Yercombe Lodge in the past."
Simon Opher MP described the closure as a “huge shame” and said smaller care settings faced particular financial challenges.
Dr Opher said: "I have visited Yercombe Lodge for 30 years - it is a wonderful place for old people and the staff are magnificent.
"There are particular issues making smaller settings like this work financially, and I think that it is a huge shame that Yercombe Lodge are having to close.
"I really hope that with the new focus on providing a national care service we can find a way to make sure that a range of different shapes and sizes of settings are financially viable.
"We will do whatever we can to try and help residents and the team."
Yercombe Lodge is set in 18 acres of grounds on the Cotswold Edge, offering views across the Severn Valley.
The Care Quality Commission currently rates the home as 'Good'.
No closure date has yet been confirmed.
