COCAINE worth up to £15,000 has been seized after a raid on a house in Berkeley.

Gloucestershire police have arrested two people on suspicion of drug dealing and confiscated cocaine with an estimated street value of between £12,000 to £15,000.

The raid happened on Friday, September 1 at an address on The Brambles in Berkeley.

A 23-year-old man was arrested for suspicion of possession with intent to supply. He has since been bailed until October 4 pending further enquiries.

As part of the same investigation a 19-year-old woman from Berkeley was arrested in Stroud on Thursday, September 14 on suspicion of possessing cocaine with intent to supply. She has also been bailed pending further enquiries until October 4.

DS Adrian Stratton, from the Cotswold and Stroud Division's Priority Policing Team, said: "This raid is a good example of what we can achieve if we receive good intelligence from the public.

"We will continue to act on information we receive from local people to target those involved in the use and supply of drugs.

"It is important that the public continue to help us by passing on any intelligence they have regarding drugs and drug dealing in their area."
