A MAN from Somerset has been charged by police after allegedly fleeing from the scene of a crash on the A38 in Berkeley.
Arnas Jaselskis, 25, of Turner Close, Bridgwater, Somerset, is accused of knocking over a lamppost into an electricity pole while driving a silver Ford Focus on the road at about 10.15pm on Saturday.
He allegedly left the scene of the collision but was later arrested and has since been charged with driving with excess alcohol and driving without insurance.
He is due to appear before magistrates in Cheltenham on February 27.
