A shotgun was fired at a parked, unoccupied car outside a pub in Cam on Sunday night, with police now trying to establish a motive behind the incident.
Having left it outside The Railway Inn on Station Road, a woman came back to her grey Citroen DS3 to discover damage to its windshield on the morning of Monday, June 25.
A shotgun cartridge was then discovered on the floor nearby.
People have also reported hearing a loud bang at approximately 10.40pm on Sunday.
Police have since been making forensic and house-to-house enquiries throughout Monday to try to establish a motive.
