A FORMER Thornbury student who now lives in Portishead has won an award for the best cruelty-free clothing company.
Hannah Price, who went to Crossways School, graduated from UWE last year and has since founded the firm, Willowknd.
Willowknd has just won LUX Magazine's award for the best cruelty-free clothing company in south west England.
It was also chosen as The Ethical Edit ‘Spotlight Brand’ of May 2018.
“I am so proud to have won this award, especially for a brand that I have established in under a year after graduating,” said Hannah.
“I wanted to be the change I wished to see, and create a company which worked towards a more sustainable planet, with kindness at its core.
“Willowknd is an eco-friendly clothing company, using only 100 per cent organic cotton in all our ranges, we are cruelty-free and vegan-friendly.
"By sourcing materials which have been grown without the use of any synthetic agricultural chemicals, we lessen the impact on our environment.
"This helps us work towards more sustainable lifestyles with fabrics that are kind to our planet and kind on your skin.
"Our hand-dyed ranges are made with water-based dyes for low environmental impact."
