IS IT any wonder Stroud District Council is considering building houses on its under-used garage sites (Gazette, June 27) when the rent charged for garages is out of reach for many motorists?
I am currently paying £58.72 a month for a garage to bring it "into line with market rents charged for garages locally".
Where are these garages that the council claims to be emulating?
