I WAS in Dursley yesterday morning as the judges for in bloom were about to arrive.
I don’t think I have ever seen the town look so lovely.
The flowers were quite magnificent, there seemed to be many more arrangements than last year and there was no sign of any litter.
It was good to see a party of school children litter picking, council workers sweeping up, as well as volunteers putting the final touches to present our town in the best light.
A lot of hard work has gone in to this venture and all the volunteers should be congratulated on their efforts.
What a wonderful show of gratitude it would be if we all continued to keep our town pristine by putting any rubbish in the bins or taking it home.
A big thank you to all involved is the least we can offer in appreciation.
