EASTER is approaching, some think of buying eggs

When you and I are thinking of the man whose arms and legs

Were firmly fixed to that cross, the pain he had to bear

More than 2,000 years ago, our forefathers were there

The guilty ones of the time were forgiven we know for sure

But will he go on forgiving us, as we expect, forever more?

Now when we buy our Easter eggs, be they milk or plain

Let us with our thoughts ensure he did not die in vain

By remembering why we have the eggs in the shops today

And the astronomical price we know Jesus had to pay!
