A NURSING home resident celebrated their 100th birthday last week.
Joyce Critchley, who celebrated her 100th birthday on Thursday, July 6, is a resident at the Heathers Nursing home in Chipping Sodbury.
The centurion, who also received a special birthday card from King Charles III, celebrated her birthday in style at the nursing home.
"We were proud that Joyce celebrated her 100th birthday with us," said Julie Shave, general manager.
"It was very exciting for Joyce and all our staff, as Joyce received her birthday card from the King, which you can see in the picture.
"Everyone helped Joyce celebrate her birthday in style, including Joyce’s family, Doris, Harold and Glennis.
"We tasked ourselves with trying to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ 100 times which was a challenge but we managed to celebrate in style with a lovely cake.
"Joyce had a lovely day.
"Congratulations Joyce, 100 is a big milestone to achieve."
