WOTTON-UNDER-EDGE youngster Jack Reeves has been called up to the England Judo development squad after adding a further medal to his collection at the British Judo Championships The 12-year-old Rednock School pupil showed his consistency and credibility as one of the country’s top judoka of his age by adding a bronze medal to the two medals he won at the 2010 and 2011 Championships in Sheffield.
Bradley Stoke Judo Club member Reeves displayed a confident and varied array of judo, winning six out of his seven fights, losing only to the competitor who won the gold.
Reeves, who won silver in 2010 and bronze in 2011, is in his first year of the pre-cadet age group and was fighting boys up to two years older than him.
He was presented his medal by Euan Burton, who represented Great Britain at the Olympics in London this year.
