Bristol & District League round-up
IN DIVISION One, Hambrook will surely be etched onto the league winner’s trophy this week after two huge wins in three days made it 16 three point hauls from just 20 matches.
After hitting Winterbourne United A for six on Thursday night they were again on their travels on Saturday, this time to second bottom Seymour United Res.
Tom Smyth (2), Ryan Brown (2), Tim Jones, Josh Duncan and Jack Cole left the Seymour defence in tatters, with the away side running out 7-0 winners to boast a five-point lead over Talbot Knowle United with two games in hand.
Bradley Stoke Town could yet have a say in the matter, however, as they beat Winterbourne United A 3-1 thanks to goals from Sam Peplow, Adam Townsend and Adam Hay with Ryan Kilbane grabbing the sole goal for the home side.
The win leaves Stoke Town six points adrift of Hambrook with three games to play.
In Division Six, strikes from Gary Davies (2), Jamie Dean and Daniel Edwards meant Yate Athletic Reserves ran out 4-0 victors against Seymour United A to remain in mid-table.
