ROCKHAMPTON will meet Redmarley in the Gloucestershire Division Final on Sunday, June 8 after squeezing past Marshfield.
Although opener Will Pascall hit 54, the hosts collapsed with Harry Collins (2-33), Will Cartlidge (2-35) and Chris Pearce (3-31) cashing in, while Guy Brothwood finished with the remarkable figures of 1-14 from eight overs.
The visitors’ innings couldn’t have got off to a worse start with Will Tyler (4) running himself out and Brothwood harshly adjudged lbw without scoring, leaving the Rams on 5-2 before Matt Tyler (76) and Rowan Cartlidge put on a magnificent third wicket partnership of 123.
Although good spells from Tom Bright (3-20) Bill Johnson (1-25) set up a nervy finish, Cartlidge launched the first ball of the final over straight back down the ground for six to wrap up the win and finish unbeaten on 57.
