ANDY Greenleaf romped to victory in the Stroud Half Marathon on Sunday.
The London-based Serpentine Running Club member hit the tape in one hour, nine minutes, seven seconds.
He finished a minute clear of his nearest rival, Oxford City’s Darrell Bellinger, who completed in a time of one hour, 10 minutes, 24 seconds.
Greenleaf said: "It's the first time I've run the Stroud Half and its a tough course.
"I started quite quickly, but then I had to run uphill and into the wind.
"We got really good support from everyone all the way through the course and I am delighted to win the race."
The first Gloucestershire runner home was David Bell of Cirencester AC. He was fourth in one hour, 11 minutes, 58 seconds.
Annabel Granger of Bristol and West AC was the first woman to cross the line in one hour, 19 minutes, 28 seconds.
The team prizes were keenly contested and saw Cirencester men come home ahead of Stroud in second and Gloucester in third.
In the ladies, Stroud got the better of Almost Athletes with CLC Striders in third.
A total of 1,133 runners completed the race.
