YATE TOWN face a crunch mid-table clash with AFC Totton on Saturday as they look to boost their position in the Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West.
Manager Craig Laird has said the side faces a crucial few weeks if they are to get back on course for a decent finish and increase their chances of making the end-of-season play-offs.
AFC Totton are just two places above 14th-placed Yate in the table, and, after last Saturday’s clash at Burnham was called off due to the weather, Laird will want to back up their first win since mid-October, when they defeated Larkhall Athletic 2-1 at Lodge Road on January 2, with another victory.
Yate take on sides at either end of the table before February with strugglers Wantage Town hosting the Bluebells on Saturday week and, after a cup match with Bishops Cleeve, Yate are home to high-flying North Leigh on January 30.
